Award-winning, multi-talented, critically acclaimed, theatrical/television/film actor Russell Hornsby (BMF, The Hate U Give, Creed II, Fences, Lost in Space, The Affair, Grimm, Lincoln Heights, etc.) had a banner year delivering the performance of a lifetime as the crazy and infamous boxing promoter Don King in the Hulu limited series "Mike" in which he was nominated for a 2023 NAACP Image Award for 'Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Television Movie, Limited Series, or Dramatic Special.' Hornsby also returns as patriarch Charles Flenory in the mega-hit Starz series "BMF," currently airing new episodes Friday nights. BMF is one of the top shows on the network and ranked as the most socially engaged drama across all networks over premiere weekend with 4.1 million multiplatform viewers. The series was also picked up for a season 3. 

 

BMF returns for a second hit season and dramatizes the inspiring true story of two brothers who gave birth to Black Mafia Family. The brothers strategically execute a new vision. Ratings for season 1 continued to climb with each episode that aired and the series became the #1 series on the Starz app.

 

Hornsby has worked non-stop in Hollywood for over two decades and has turned in award-winning and buzzed about performances in films including FOX 2000's THE HATE U GIVE with Amandla Stenberg and Regina Hall, CREED II opposite Michael B.
